Service of Tulsi ji.
Tulsi ji is seen in every courtyard in our Indian homes. Tulsi ji is considered as the form of Lakshmi.
Serving Tulsi ji calms the mind and serving Tulsi ji makes Tulsi ji happy and peace prevails at home.
There are two main types of service of Tulsi ji.
First service.
Offering water daily in a basil plant. Water is not offered in Tulsi only on Ekadashi.
Second Service
Breaking Tulsi ji's place and keeping Tulsi free from pain because this Manjaria makes Tulsi ji sick and dry.
As long as this manjariya remains on the head of Tulsi ji, Tulsi Mata suffers a lot. Therefore, from time to time, the basil plants should be broken, this is also a type of service that pleases Tulsi Mata.
Both these types of service are not considered less than the service of Lord Vishnu. There is also a need to take some precautions like Tulsi ji's command should be taken before breaking the Tulsi party.
The Tulsi party should not be broken on Sundays and Dwadashi and should never break the Tulsi party with nails or burn water on Ekadashi because Tulsi ji keeps a waterless fast for Thakur Ji on this day.
It is said that Tulsi ji is engaged in the service of the eight Pahar Thakur ji, resting only in these two days, during the rest of the days she does not sleep even for a single moment or rest.
Tulsi Dal should never chew with teeth, swallow it with water.
